Ibrahim Senen, SH., LL.M., partner, is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (1996) and Faculty of Law, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands (LL.M., 2004). He participated in the summer program in American Law at Law Faculty of University of Michigan, USA in 1999.

He is an advocate, registered tax attorney and registered intellectual property consultant. He is a member of The Indonesian Bar Association (IKADIN), International Trademark Association (INTA), Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA), the Association for Intellectual Property Consultant (Asosiasi Konsultan HKI), and one of the founding members of Indonesian Intellectual Property Society,. He is one of the few lawyers in Indonesia licensed to handle intellectual property cases.

He works on commercial litigation (including bankruptcy and dispute arising from derivative transactions) and anti-counterfeiting/anti-piracy of intellectual property. He is a lawyer specializing in Commercial and Insolvency Litigation (including Intellectual Property Rights – anti counterfeiting). He has engaged in many litigation cases among these were (i) derivative transaction cases (i.e., cross currency interest rate swap) involving Bankers Trust and UBS, (ii) intellectual property rights cases (representing Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy and Richemont S.A.), (iii) bankruptcy and insolvency representing BNP Paribas, DBS, OCBC, Deutsche Bank AG and (iv) commercial cases representing JPMorgan Chase N.A., Deutsche Bank AG. Currently, he is in charge in commercial litigation practices in the firm. He also works on telecommunication project and its financing, contracts of work and coal cooperation agreement in coal mining and on corporate/debt restructuring.

He was invited to lecture on commercial litigation and intellectual property rights at Police Academy (Lido, Sukabumi); Police Training Center (Megamendung, Bogor); and the Faculties of Law of University of Indonesia, Hassanudin University (Makassar) and Al Azhar University (Jakarta). He was appointed as advisor to the examination team formed by Center for Legal and Policy Studies (Pusat Studi Hukum dan Kebijakan), with the support of Australian Agency for International Development, to analyze judgments of the Commercial Court of Central Jakarta and the Supreme Court on bankruptcy cases rendered during 1998 - 2000. He acted as Indonesian legal consultant for Asian Development Bank’s Technical Assistance Project for Countering Money Laundering in the Asian and Pacific Region.

During his study at the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia, he received scholarships from Gudang Garam and American Chamber of Commerce. He was chairman of Student Coop and became best student for class 1996 (Mahasiswa Berprestasi Utama tahun 1996) and best graduated student for class 1996 (Lulusan Terbaik tahun 1996).

During his leisure time, he enjoys fishing, reading, hunting antique woodcraft and playing with his children.
