Sigit Ardianto, SH., LL.M., is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Padjadjaran (2003). He then graduated from the Comparative Legal Thought Program at Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, New York, USA (LL.M. 2009) as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. He also received fellowship to attend the Enterprise and Investment Lawyers Course held by the International Development Law Organization in Rome, Italy, in 2007.

He has passed the Indonesian Bar Exam in 2007 and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam for New York State in 2009. He has also passed Brevet A and B Taxation Course in 2005. He has served as Secretary General of the Indonesian Alumni Association of the International Development Law Organization.

He works mainly on capital market, company and debt restructurings, banking, finance and derivative transactions. He also works on acquisitions, coal mining, and broadcasting. He has advised numerous international banking and financial institutions, private equities, major Indonesian companies, state owned companies, as well as mining companies, both listed and unlisted. One of his latest major projects was the initial public offering (IPO) and listing of shares of PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk. (Banpu Group), one of the biggest coal mining companies in Indonesia.

During his graduate study in New York he published several law articles in newspapers both in English and Indonesian and had his working paper published by Cornell Law School. He also participated as one of the speakers for the Cornell Law School Inter-University Graduate Studies Conference in Ithaca, New York, USA, March, 2009 and participated in the New York University Globalex Project wherein he wrote for the Indonesian law chapter. He has been invited as speaker in several panel discussions and workshops in the University of Padjadjaran.

In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, chess, and a bit of guitar.
